Light Curtain is 5,760 LEDs in a 24” x 99” rectangular panel. The tall, thin aspect ratio of Light Curtain fits the aspect ratio of a standing person. Therefore Missive is often used as an interactive display, combining the silhouette and features of a visitor with various animated backgrounds and foregrounds.

The LEDs are in 24 strips that roll up for easy transport.

The computer program that controls the piece is LED Lab an iPad app that allows any image or video file to be used in creating animations. (City/country-specific imagery can be integrated into the performance.) This app is available on the Apple iTunes Store.
